DrugZero
After attending the Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University in my freshman year, I became more interested in public health concerns, especially adolescent substance abuse.

Though very ambitious as a high school student from Korea,
I am eager to solve the drug epidemic!
From this, I established an organization called DrugZero.
DrugZero is not limited to just a school-wide campaign. From having conversations at my school assemblies to getting invited to the NYS Legislative Office, the impact of DrugZero is not like any other student-led organization.
To enhance my understanding of neuroscience, psychology, and illicit drugs, I self-taught using Coursera courses: namely, "The Addicted Brain" and "Abnormal Psychology".
Being able to understand a deeper sense in this field fascinated me to dive further and expand this organization.

I then created an umbrella group of WISE.

The campaign began with having Instagram posts and blogs from my sophomore year. Now, I have made a dedicated psychology interest group in my school and an original anti-drug education curriculum. Along the process, I joined the Troy Drug-Free Community Coalition as the only youth.

The Coalition gave me numerous opportunities to attend conferences such as CADCA and visit the senators' office to discuss the development of anti-drug education.
